Now that I am getting the hang of how to work this web-site, I feel I should let my bloggers, know who Barbara M Carrasquillo is. I will begin with a quick recap on my first fifty. I have been in two relationships, and the first one was horrific. I never thought that I'd be lucky enough to find myself in a long, lasting relationship. But, thanks to God, my husband Vinny, and our lovely children . . . I have succeeded.
I have taken on many jobs in life and there have only been two or three that I would say--I loved doing. One was working in the Financial Aid Office, at Orange County Community College. This was where I took college credit classes and learned, typing, and creative writing, just to name a few.
Then, we moved to Tennessee, in 1989, and the kids started school,so again I was pregnant of my youngest child. This was a relaxing time and I enjoyed being pregnant. The next job was in Whirpool, this was a factory job, but I was good at it. Doing ten hour days was nothing for me. I hated to leave them, but when they had their summer lay off, I had to find something else. But, when the kids all got older, I went back to school and became a travel agent. It was great because I could travel and only pay a ten dollar fee, on most airlines.
Ultimately, I have crossed over to the second half of life and I'm now ready to do what I've always really wanted to do. I am a Freelance Writer, and I'm going to make this work--for me!
